CBD Two Ways: Pear Walnut Crostini & Ice Cream

I feel like every time I revisit this blog, my life is in a different place. I definitely don’t mind that since it’s always fun to see an evolution. Nowadays I am freelancing doing recipe development, photography, writing, and more!

Hands down I’m having the most fun creating content for Blüm dispensary. To celebrate the beginning of Fall, I worked with Blüm and Jade Nectar to develop a couple recipes using their CBD tincture.

I really enjoyed using the Jade Nectar tincture. It’s potent, but that’s because they use the entire cannabis plant. No industrialized hemp here.

Crostini

Total Servings: 10
Serving Size: 2 crostinis

CBD per serving: ~12mg-24mg
THC per serving: ~0.5mg-1mg

Total Time: 25-30 minutes

Ingredients
Jade Nectar CBD Drops
Olive oil
Baguette
Pears
Ricotta cheese
Chopped walnuts
Honey

Recipe Instructions:

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, salt, and Jade Nectar CBD drops and whisk together. For each tablespoon of olive oil, I added 1-2 full droppers of Jade Nectar CBD drops, but you can alter according to your tastes.

Step 2
Using a bread knife, slice baguette into ¼ inch thick slices.

Step 3
Lay baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush slices with olive oil mixture. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until bread is slightly toasted and golden brown.

Step 4
While your baguette slices are toasting, cut pears into thin slices.

Step 5
Time to assemble! Spread ricotta on crostini, then add pear slices, chopped walnuts, a drizzle of honey, a pinch of salt, and a drizzle of the CBD olive oil mixture. Serve!

Ice Cream

Serving Size: 1 teaspoon of olive oil mixture

CBD per serving: ~12mg
THC per serving: ~0.5mg

Total Time: 15-20 minutes

Ingredients
Vanilla ice cream
Olive oil
Jade Nectar CBD drops
Salt
Honey
Pears, diced
For the candied walnuts
½ cup chopped walnuts
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 pinch salt
2 teaspoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon brown sugar

Recipe Instructions:

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, salt, and Jade Nectar CBD drops and whisk together. For each teaspoon of olive oil, add 1 full dropper of Jade Nectar CBD drops.

Step 2
Combine ingredients for candied walnuts. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for about 10-15 minutes, stirring a couple times throughout. 

Step 3
Assemble ice cream by sprinkling diced pears, candied walnuts, honey drizzle, olive oil, and flaky sea salt (optional).
